The PSA Impact Awards

The applications for the PSA Impact Awards are now closed! Thank you to all of the schools that participated this year. Winners will be announced on May 2nd at the PSA Impact Awards. All applications will automatically be considered for the Judges' Choice and People's Choice awards.

When are the Impact Awards?

We will present the awards on May 2, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Drexel University. Participating students and faculty from the 2023-2024 Philly Service Award competition have all been invited to attend the ceremony.

What are we competing for?

Once your school has completed its community service project utilizing the grant, you can submit your project to compete for the following awards. The recipients of these additional awards will receive trophies and a $20,000 gift to their school. The student participants will work with their faculty representative to direct the utilization of those funds. Note: No school can win multiple awards.

Safer Philly Award: This award will celebrate a stand-out project that focuses on improving the city's safety in the areas of gun safety, violence prevention, awareness initiatives, and youth-centric programs.

Young Entrepreneurs Award: This award will celebrate the innovators. Looking specifically at the most creative project idea that stepped outside the box and is shaping the future of community service with their visionary idea.

Legacy Builders Award: This award will celebrate a project that the judges believe is sustainable for years to come, even after the original creators have moved on and the initial funding has been spent. These projects are easily transferred and demonstrate a clear model.

Judges’ Choice Award: The judges will collectively select a project that stands out. They look at the project’s creativity, impact, reach, etc. This award will be presented to the project the judges consider the total package.

People’s Choice Award: The general public will determine this award. We will be hosting all of the project submissions on a platform where the public can vote for their favorite project.

Community Partner Award: All schools are automatically reviewed for this award opportunity. This award is designated for the school that went above and beyond to make connections community-wide to maximize their project impact while uniting and engaging community members.

The Drexel University Impact Idea Award: Individual Student Award Opportunity

The Drexel University Impact Idea Award is a secondary individual competition for individual students participating in the 2023-2024 Philly Service Award competition. Applications are now closed. The winning students will be awarded a prize of $1,000 for themselves (unrestricted) and $1,000 for their school (unrestricted). Winners will be announced at the Impact Awards Ceremony.
